As our "old" washing medium (trichloroethylene) has been on the REACH list since mid-2010 [REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals)] and problems could arise in this regard in the future, we invested in a new cleaning system that cleans with hydrocarbon or modified alcohol.

We try to measure as much as possible "contact-free" and invest in two, 3D optical coordinate measuring machines.

In view of the increasing problems with the RoHS directive, which limits the lead content in materials to <0.1% (by weight), making chip breaking more difficult, a large number of our machines are being retrofitted with high-pressure pumps (135 bar) and electrostatic air cleaners.

The "energy crisis" caused by the Ukraine war prompted us to install a new heating system (condensation) and to review our energy efficiency.

Our cutting oil "Swisscut Inox 300" is no longer REACH-compatible and must be replaced by "Swisscut ORTHO SX 15". The storage of the oil and the filling of the machines will be logistically modernised.
